Tintype portraits
A set of community portraits first started when living in Ekenäs. In the old Museum of Photography, EKTA in Ekenäs I set up a portrait booth and took Tintype portraits and welcomes members of the community into for a portrait at the same time allowed them to inquire about the process of this old collodion method and see and explore the museum itself.
Wet Plate Collodion photography is a unique method of portrait photography which began in 1850. It comprises of using wet chemicals on a tin plate or sheet of glass, exposing the chemicals and developing them within 10 mins or before the plate dries.
